NatlDayPrayerMay 1 has once again been declared a National Day of Prayer by Congress. The President has also issued a proclamation, a tradition with historical roots in the presidency of George Washington. All congregations in Union have been invited to participate in an ecumenical prayer service at Union Presbyterian.  The St. Timothy Parish adult and children’s choirs, as well as the choir of Union Presbyterian, have prepared music for the event, to be followed by a social. Civic leaders, fire department representatives, teachers and veterans (and all those who help our civic community to flourish) are especially invited and will be prayed for during the event.
