2. Egbers Land Design, Inc., a land design company owned by Geoffrey
Egbers, presented a plan to staff on Friday September 17, 2004. Father Witte,
Kay Schuele, Mona Lewis, Greg Egbers are on the committee. Father presented a
diagram of the plan. The goal of this land design is to create a flow to the
design of the church. Everything presently existing will stay. Trees/bushes may
be moved around and utilized differently. There will be an additional 100 trees
planted around the church property. The plan was designed to create a look
pleasing and inviting to the community. Both entrances will match. $30,000.00
was budgeted for landscape this year. We will slowly work to complete plans by
prioritizing needs. This design plan will be presented to the church community
within the next few weeks. Parking lot to be completed week of September 20th.
3. Land Acquisition from the diocese – Still need engineer to stake out
the 15 acres we asked for. Best utilization of the land also to be engineered.
4. Pastors of Boone County met with Bishop Foys during the week of
September 13th. Population continues to increase. Parishes are going to be
bigger operations. Where are we at this stage of operations? Father Witte to
work on project with Diocese.
5. Diocese Annual Appeal – St. Timothy Church will get @
$3,000.00-$4,000.00 back from the Diocese for reaching above our goal.
There has been much communication about whether a school will be built at St.
Timothy. A school will not be built in the near future. A school feasibility
plan is in process. Planning, surveys, appreciate inquiry continue. Listening
