1. Opening prayer read by Jerry Grefer.

2. Pastor report
Father had meeting with Bishop Foys on 3/1/04. Prior to their meeting, preliminary report was sent that included the Pastoral plan, statistics, Boone County planning report. Bishop Foys had 2 concerns - Growth and Debt. Growth being too much causing mega parishes. Fr. Wiite’s response was that the diocese would have to look at that with Boone County representatives. We have asked for 20 acres behind the church for which the diocese owns. Currently the diocese has no plans for the land that we are requesting. Diocesan Annual Appeal goal for St. Timothy’s has increased two fold. We will need to meet this goal or will have to pay remainder of what we do not meet. We are expecting a response from Bishop Foys by the end of April. Father Witte reported he was confident with their meeting. New lights have been installed along the driveway. More lights will be added to the new parking lot as well as the parking lot in front of Fr. Witte’s home. Plans are being made to connect the lower parking lots and stairs leading up the hill.

3. Facilities pillar committee report by Rick Hoban
They have met two times and have developed short term and long term goals. There must be more structure behind the budget process. Need to justify everything that is submitted to the Budget committee. Short-term goals included replacing the roof in the parish center, which is 12 years old. Also repairing the leak above the altar, organ for church, and audiovisual update. Long-term goals included the addition of a school and remodeling of the church. There will be a meeting on Monday, April 19th at 5:30 PM reviewing the site plan. Joan W. from Champlin Haught will be at this meeting to review the current site plan concept.

4. Worship pillar committee report by Larry Lense and Father Witte
They have met one time for an organizational meeting and to plan meeting times. They want to take the pastoral plan and set up a structure. Additional people were identified for this committee. Mass schedule is a short-term goal. Father to talk with the Diocese for formula to set up new mass schedule.

5. Community pillar report by Michelle Svec and Father Witte
Two short-term goals made. Would like to have two meetings per year of all leadership for all the events that happen during the year to discuss purpose of the event. An event template is being made to evaluate how events worked to establish communication back to the parish with follow up on how to make it better for the following year.

6. Faith formation pillar report by Kim Wiehoff
Met to set up cycle of meeting times. There are different faith formations happening with many opportunities to become involved. Identified short and long-term goals. Developing an evaluation form to develop common format for standard way to structure meetings. This will make it easier to get updates and be organized for future meetings. Web site updates with a multimedia room are other goals to meet. May need to do an appreciative inquiry to get more ideas from the community of St. Timothy.

7. School feasibility study reported by Fr. Witte
Identification of people to become part of the committee has been done. Fr. Witte, Mark Dornhoff and Tracy Fountain met with a principal who started a parish school. Much discussion about what to do to begin this process occurred. Committee would like to visit this school in Dublin, Ohio.

8. Service pillar committee report by Mary Brzinski
One meeting took place so far. This committee will meet after the Outreach meetings on the third Thursday of each month. Objectives included increasing participation in our service ministries, revising the grant program to ensure effective use of our parish tithe, gauge success, measure our service ministries participation and impact, provide an opportunity for parishioners to supplement their personal commitment consistent with the parish approach. This committee will create a means to report and measure the success of each subcommittee of the Ministry of Outreach.

9. Next Parish Council meeting will be Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at 7:00 PM.

Respectfully submitted,

Laura Eades
Parish Council Secretary
