- Finance Council report by Rick
Hoban.
Cash flow at St. Timothy continues to be tight. Receipts: Total
contributions were up $800.18 versus last year. Total
contributions missed budget by $985.58. A parishioner donated
$10,000.00 to be used for outreach. Per the parishioner’s
instructions, these funds will be used to match parish outreach
donations. The $10, 000.00 donation does not get taxed 11% by
the Dioceses since the funds are earmarked. DPAA: We have
collected enough funds to meet our parish goal. There is still
over $24,000.00 in outstanding pledges to be collected and those
funds go directly to our parish, exempt of the 11% diocesan tax.
Disbursements: The normal $18,000.00 payment was made to St.
Paul for the 03/04 school year. The remaining balance due St.
Paul for 03/04 is $62,531.20. At the payment rate of $18,000.00
per month, this liability should be paid off in April 2006. St.
Tim’s payments to St. Paul for 05/06 school year are on track to
be paid in full by June 2006. The $5,000.00 budgeted gift to St.
Henry High School will be removed from the budget. $150,000.00
Land Purchase: No payment has been made to the Diocese for land
purchased in late 2004. The Diocese is charging us interest on
this loan. Greg Egbers to follow up with Tony Depenbrock at the
Diocese to determine the interest rate and payment arrangements.
Railings and Signs: These are still planned for installation.
Waiting for appropriate weather before we schedule the work.
Budget for second half of fiscal year 05/06 did not come through
Parish Council. Fiscal year budget for 06/07 will need to be
approved by Parish Council. Michelle Svec asked if lines would
be repainted on the older part of parking lot due to they are
hard to see. Rick Hoban to check on for budget. Parking lot may
need to be resealed first.
- Worship Pillar report by Larry
Lense.
Due to allergic reaction to incense by some parishioners, it was
decided to use incense at major feast days only. Worship members
discussed the possibility of hymnals being passed out as
parishioners enter the worship space and return them to a mobile
cart after Mass due to some pews having many hymnals and others
few. To be discussed more. If a parishioner did not indicate on
this years Stewardship form that they wished to serve, they will
not be on the active list for ministers. “Healing” service
offered at the 11:00 mass last fall will be done at all masses
next year to give all parishioners an opportunity for this
service. All evening services and Holy Day masses requested to
start at the same time in hopes that mass attendance would
increase. 7:00 pm is the time thought to be best. It was brought
up that St. Timothy Christmas cards were late to parishioners
due to Post Office issues.
- Outreach Pillar report by Mary
Brzinski.
Hosea House December meal coordinated by Dave and Kate Mueller
of Region three served 130 meals. The meals were provided by the
generosity of St. Timothy parishioners. Alternative Christmas
donations collected were $9,477.25 to be dispersed to the 11
agencies. St. Timothy parishioners helped 42 families or 117
children in total through the Region Giving Trees. In addition
to the region giving trees, St. Tim’s also had parishioners who
helped fellow parishioners and a family from Hosea House.
Donations to St. Augustine City Heights and Gallatin County CAC
continue to be made. Furniture, toys and clothing were delivered
in December. Through the middle of January, we have contributed
$4,167.00 from our tithe and additional donations of $2,997.00
totaling $7,164.00 to the Retired Religious Collection. The 2006
St. Timothy Grant recipients were chosen. They are: New Hope
Center, Welcome House of Northern Kentucky, Family Nurturing
Center, St. Vincent DePaul Community Pharmacy, Housing
Opportunities of Northern Kentucky, Inc, and Interfaith
Hospitality Network Of Northern Kentucky. New ministry in
Network of Care is the Prayer Blanket ministry. Dottie Due
reported to Outreach pillar that this ministry involves sewing
lap-sized blankets that are given to people in the hospital or
seriously ill patients. Blankets will be blessed by Father
Bolte. The Ministry to the Sick and Homebound is done by Dottie
Due or Father Bolte. Visits and/or phone calls will be made to
check on the healing process. New Day Ministry program will

resulted in looking at draft through Article IV. Will continue
with Article V assessment at February Parish Council meeting.

Father Bolte reported that he is meeting with Bishop Foys in
February to discuss the future Strategic direction of the
Catholic Church in Boone County. Various ideas were discussed
