February Grant

Since 1884, Holly Hill Children's Services has provided healing, help and hope to Northern Kentucky's most vulnerable children. Over the last 123 years, much has changed in the community, the number of children that need help, the severity of their problems, and the complexity of the treatment required.  Holly Hill has changed accordingly; evolving from a traditional orphanage into a multi-faceted dynamic social service agency offering six programs from two locations. Today, Holly Hill Children Services, with offices in California, Kentucky and Wilder, Kentucky offers six areas of programming to benefit families in Northern Kentucky.

  • Residential Treatment

  • Foster Care and Adoption Services

  • Case Management

  • Therapeutic Child Support

  • Supervised Visitation/Monitored Exchange

  • Parenting Classes

Located in California, Kentucky, Holly Hill's all-girls residential treatment facility deals with children ages 11-18 who suffer from severe emotional and behavioral problems with the vast majority of them having been physically or sexually abused.

Our February grant will give the children in the TCS (Therapeutic Child Support) program the opportunity to take part in unique experiences, beyond the world they live in, through enrichment at various local museums, cultural events, and educational activities.  For the outreach project, the girls of the residential program will be invited to be the guests of honor at the St.Timothy FishFry on February 27

We will welcome a representative from Holly Hill at all Masses on Feb.6 and 7. We will learn more about their ministry to children in the Northern Kentucky community.
