Our February grant will fund ob/gyn appointments, prescriptions, and other medical necessities for pregnant Hispanic immigrants in Northern Kentucky. Currently under Kentucky Medicaid guidelines, immigrants without citizenship status are eligible to receive Medicaid for just two months of their pregnancy. Grant funds will help cover the cost the expectant mothers’ clinic fees and other outpatient expenses for the remainder of their pregnancies to ensure proper prenatal care for both the mother and child. 

An outreach service opportunity is planned to also give time and talent to our recipient. This month’s service project will be painting of the waiting room and exam rooms at HealthPoint’s Greenup location in Covington.
