Parish Tithe

Each month, St. Timothy Parish will set aside 5% of the monthly collection for the parish tithe. $500 is given to the inner-city mission, St. Augustine Parish Center at City Heights in Covington, and $500 is given to the rural mission, Gallatin County Community Action Commission. For the six months that there are diocesan collections, the remainder is given to the designated fund. For the other six months of the year, local community grants will be awarded up to $3000. Since 2008, any remaining funds have been allocated to the summer mission trip and outreach assistance funds.

In addition to the financial grant for the local community grant recipient, St. Timothy parishioners will perform a service project during the designated grant month.  This process allows us to broaden our outreach ministry and helps us to become well informed about the groups and individuals we are assisting.  This approach has been very successful and beneficial to the grant recipient and St. Timothy Parish.
