“I am your Creator.
You were in my care even before you were born.”

Isaiah 44:2

January 22, 1973 is the date of the United States Supreme Court decision that established a woman’s right to have an abortion without undue interference from the government.  Today, approximately 4,000 American babies are killed each day by abortion.   As pro-life supporters, we must work together to raise awareness and to help save the lives of God’s children.

Families for Life is launching three activities the weekends of January 19-20 and January 26-27.   Please visit our table in the gathering space after all Masses.

Baby Bottle Campaign

In collaboration with CareNet Pregnancy Center, we invite every parishioner to participate in the Baby Bottle Campaign. Care Net opened in 1999 and has several locations in Northern Kentucky.  They provide free services to women and men facing unplanned pregnancies such as a 24 hour hotline, pregnancy and parenting mentors, adoption referrals, and many other “learn and earn” classes. Baby bottles will be available to take home with you after all Masses.  At home, put the baby bottle in a prominent place (on a dresser, desk or kitchen counter) as a reminder to pray for the safety and salvation of mothers and their unborn children.  Drop your change, dollars or checks in the bottle as an offering to help CareNet continue to save babies lives! Watch the bulletin for information on dates to return your filled bottles.

Spiritual Adoption Program.

All parishioners of every age and ability are invited to participate in the Spiritual Adoption Program.  Participants pledge to pray for nine months for a baby in danger of abortion. During each month of the program, updates will be given about the baby's development in the womb. While this child will remain unknown to his or her 'spiritual parent', God knows who the child is. Many people have found that naming 'their child' helps to keep them focused on the reality that their prayers are helping to save a particular baby from the harm of abortion. While it is not always possible to see the particular effects of prayer, we know through Scripture that God wants us to pray, and we know by faith that He answers all prayers.  We encourage parishioners to make this prayer a part of your daily prayers, whether in your own quiet time with God or before dinner with the whole family praying together.   At the end of the nine months, we will then have our annual HealthPoint baby shower. Prayer Pledge cards will be available at the Families for Life table in the gathering space.
