Our international outreach began a few years ago when our former Director of Outreach Ted Lewis and his wife Mona spent eighteen months in Zambia, Africa with Catholic Relief Services. Sister Krista of St.Charles Academy in Solwezi, Zambia, emailed us in 2006 to tell us that the Diocese of Solwezi was going to close the school and asked if we could help.  We promised to send $2,000 a year and sent a letter affirming our pledge to the Bishop of Solwezi.  The diocese kept the school open and we have helped to support the school since then. Since 2007, St.Timothy Parish has sponsored a yard sale in August to raise funds for the school.
