Grade 1

Purpose

To provide a developmentally appropriate instructional and hands-on program that introduces and enhance the learning of the Catholic faith through the four foundations of parish life; worship, gathering, service and faith formation.

Objectives

• Independently pray:
  the Sign of the Cross
  Our Father
  Hail Mary

• Demonstrate understanding of the Holy Family

• Demonstrate basic knowledge of the Holy Trinity

• Have basic knowledge of the Rosary

• Demonstrate understanding of the Sacrament of Baptism

• Express knowledge of Lent and Advent

• Differentiate between the Old Testament and New Testament

• Express and demonstrate the understanding of the Great Commandment.
