Ministry of Outreach

The purpose of this ministry is to work toward fulfilling the social teachings of the Catholic Church by promoting healing, restoring hope and affirming human potential. We do this by serving those in need within our own parish and in the greater community in which we live. Where we can effectively respond to individuals and families, we will. Otherwise, we will support other organizations that aid and comfort those in need. (click here for more details on our programs).
Our activities include:

  • Support our Grant Program with outreach activities to connect parishioners’ time and talent with grant recipient

  • Support seasonal outreach projects: Thanksgiving food drive, Christmas Gift Giving Trees, Alternative Christmas, Spring clean up drive

  • Work with and support the needs of our inner-city mission City Heights in Covington and our rural mission in Gallatin County

  • Support ongoing outreach projects with Hosea House, HONK, and IHN.

  • Coordinate outreach opportunities with region ministers

  • Address parish outreach concerns

  • Create and support new outreach opportunities and awareness; continue to grow relationships with existing outreach ministries
